Pro’s Tip Sheet
- The 1st at The Golf Club at Rio Vista requires a tee shot of 210 yards favoring the left side of the fairway. This will leave you 150 yards as your second shot to a slightly elevated green.
- You have the option of hitting a driver or a 3 wood on this hole. If you hit a driver favor the right side of the fairway. You want to stay short of the lake on the left side of the fairway. Your second shot you want to favor the left hand side of the fairway as this will give you a good look at the green and a shorter third shot that you will be hitting over water.
- Take your tee shot down the left side of the fairway. On your second shot the right hand greenside bunker is a tough up and down.
- Take your tee shot down the left hand side of the fairway. Your second shot take enough club that will get you over a natural environment area. Third shot you will want to keep low and you will hit all kinds of clubs into this green. If the wind blows a bogey is a great score.
- Club selection is the key to this hole. Long left is a difficult up and down.
- On your tee shot favor the left hand side of the fairway. The more you favor the left side of the fairway the more club you can hit off the tee. The second shot you are hitting to a slightly elevated green. Make sure you pick enough club to clear the water on the right side as if not enough club your ball will roll into the water.
- Take your tee shot at the left fairway bunker. Second shot pick enough club as the green side bunker short of the green is a tough up and down.
- Club selection is the key to this hole.
- Keep the tee shot right center on this hole. Second shot favor right side and make sure club selection is short rather then long.
- Take your tee shot at the right side of the fairway. Second shot take enough club as anything short will end up in a hazard.
- You have the option on this hole. If your going to hit driver favor right side of fairway. There is water on the left side that can come into play. Second shot take enough club to clear the water.
- Tee Shot is straight ahead. Second shot take enough club as this green is tricky. The green slopes back to front.
- Take enough club to get over sand traps. Green slopes back to front.
- Tee Shot favor left center. Second shot favor right side of fairway. Third Shot green slopes back to front but watch out for small bowl in the green as tough two putt if pin is not in bowl area.
- Club selection is key. Left greenside sand trap tough up an down.
- Tee shot favor left center. Take enough club to get to the back of the green on your second shot. Green has hump on right side that makes putting a challenge.
- Tee shot favor right side of fairway. Second shot stay on top as this will give you a better look at the green for your third shot. Third shot to a two teared green.
- The Golf Club at Rio Vista’s signature hole. Hit your tee shot at the right center of the fairway. This will give you the best look at the green. Your second shot take enough club to clear the water. Back sand traps are difficult up and down.
